L. emailed us with this account: July 20th my mother in-law came home to her house to find that the ever so thoughtful Indians had decided to erect a new fence across the back of her property.Apparently they must have thought that because her property is one of the few along this street that does not have a fence along the rear ( between her and themselves ) that they would take it upon themselves to erect one for her. After going to the end of her street to speak to the Police ( because there are a MINIMUM of two officers and one cruiser parked there 24/7 ) she informed them of the situation. The response she was given was that nothing could be done because they had to speak to their supervisor first! Can you beleive this? Over the course of that day and the following day she was visited by approximately 12, yes I said 12 O.P.P. Everyone from regular officers to Supervisors to MELT members. Although they all came and had a look, not one of them did anything. By the middle of the second morning she was so frustrated that she told them that if they did not do anything by noon she was going to take the fence down herself. Well guess what? That's exactly what she had to do because they did SQUAT!!! How disgusting is this? The O.P.P. walk/ drive/ bicycle/ park/ sleep all over Caledonia for double time and end up forcing a woman in her mid sixties, who lives alone, to deal with this situation on her own. What the HELL are we paying these useless clowns for???? I don't know about you but I want my money back! |
| Does this account not show that OPP are not concerned about the safety of Residents? What would have happened if the Natives got angry while she removed their illegal fence? Would the OPP come to the aid of a Senior screaming for Help or would they just stand by like... well... they did last time on June 9?
Notice too that this was not just the OPP standing on the street but Supervisors and the great MELT members - each in turn did nothing. The OPP action does accomplish three things. First, it ensures that no Natives are arrested. Second, no reported crime will be investigated - case is now closed. Third, it ensures that no OPP officers get hurt will collecting their overtime pay. |
