At 184 days it is now time for this to end.

We have now arrived at the end of August 2006 the land at the South end of Argyle Street known as the Douglas Creek Estates had been occupied for 184 days. During those 184 days what have we seen, done and learned and what exactly has the Government Federal and Provincial, the OPP and the Grand Erie Catholic School Board done to help anyone Native or Non Native in the on going situation here in Caledonia?

We have done NOTHING! Is what they have all done except take the dollars we work hard to earn.

Jane Stewart getting paid $1,300.00 a day to sit at a table to talk and to appear now and again in Caledonia to see if she can do anything to help with our situation, yet accomplish's nothing really.

The OPP are laughing all the way to the bank with the money they are collecting for standing chatting to Natives and Non Natives, or sitting in their air conditioned cars watching DVD's, reading News Papers, or chatting on their cell phones to friends and family. Who is paying for the gas they are burning while they sit/stand around doing nothing? We do the tax payers who live throughout Ontario!

The amount of money spent on the Caledonia situation does not only come out of the pocket of those living in Caledonia and surrounding area, it is coming out of every person's pocket living in Ontario regardless of how close you are to Caledonia. What does that mean exactly? It means that the OPP's travelling expensive's, accommodation, food, laundry, gas, car repairs and wages are all being paid for by each and every person in Ontario above the money they are already spending on everyday policing outside of the Land Reclamation in Caledonia. Is it any wonder why they are lining up to work in Caledonia? Remember these OPP officers are above the ones that regularly patrol Caledonia and surrounding area's outside of the Land Reclamation.

Now what about the costs of the Court, who pays for those costs? Each time court was called and Judge Marshall demanded answers, but received none it cost us money!

If Jane Stewart is getting that kind of money a day what do you think John Nolan Chief Negotiator is getting?

Is it any wonder why these negotiations are taking so long? Jane Stewart can collect up to $300 thousand dollars for a years work and spend $30,000. in expensive. With that in mind why would she want to settle this quickly and earn let's say $239,200. and lose $60,800. but if she drags it out she can walk away with $300,000 in her pocket, new clothes in her suitcase courtesy of the expense account.

Now with Ken Hewitt admitting he is getting involved in politics, and with his name being involved with the Liberal Plan, would it not be wise for him to resign from the Alliance? How can anyone of us trust he is looking out for Caledonia's best interest in the Douglas Creek Estates Occupation? Have we not learned through all of this that we can not trust any Politician to do what is right for this town?

We have learned that the Catholic School Board does exactly what they want when they want, regardless of what parents and children who pay their wages demand of them. We have learned that they put the mighty dollar above our children's welfare.

We have learned that this entire Land Reclamation is nothing more then a cash machine for Federal and Provincial Agencies.

We have learned that the Native's feel the Non Native's are Racist's and the Non Native's feel the Native's are Racist.

We have learned that Non Native's have a number of Rebels looking to create havoc and that the Native's have Rebels looking to create havoc.

What we have not learned is how to live together as neighbours and friends.

What we have not learned is how to unite as a community and fight the fight together.

What we have not learned is not to drag the children into this.

What we have not learned is that we all need each other in some way or another.

What we have seen is vandalism, racism, terrorism and other acts of total lawlessness.

We have seen bridge's burnt, tire fires, cars torched, flags disgraced, business's losing money Native and Non Native.

We have seen the elderly tormented, children scared to be children.

We have seen destruction of a community who was finally beginning to live in Unity.

What have we heard?

RUMOURS, RUMOURS and more RUMOURS!

We have heard lies from all levels of Government.

We have heard untruth's from Native's and Non Native's.

We have heard name calling, threats and we have heard a few pleasantries.

What should we do?

We should STAND UNITED!

We should let the Government Federal and Provincial know that we do not work for them, they work for us we are their employer's!

We should let the School Board know they too work for us and are our employee's!

We should let them know we demand they do as we ask!

We should with hold tax's? This one really doesn't accomplish much as they will get them in the end with interest added to your bill along with an increase to cover all the above expensive's.

We should rally, peacefully, without racism, with out vandalism, threats or terror.

We should be able to rely on the OPP to protect us if and when a crime occurs regardless of the violator's race.

One way to look at things where Race is concerned is We are all made with sugar some of us white sugar and some brown, some with a bit of brown and a bit of white mixed together, but we are made with a heart, emotions and rage and we were all born human!

None of Native or Non Native should be wishing physical harm to another!

That being said It is time that the residents of Ontario wake up and and see that what is happening in Caledonia does effect each and everyone of them and if we as the people of Ontario don't stand together we will never be heard! It is time to UNITE and demand the Government Federal and Provincial stop playing in our pocket books and get this situation resolved now!

At 184 days it is now time for this to end.
