Ipperwash response to Jamie West

Dear Gary,

I can only say that Jamie West's comments on you personally are not only poisonous but an affront to every person who attended the March for Freedom Rally.

I felt privileged to be there and to speak about my home situation at Ipperwash.  It doesn't really matter how the March came about.  The fact it did is the important issue.  Canadians are like a hibernating bear. When they wake up, however and perceive injustice they will be hard to reckon with.

In the past ten years millions of taxpayers dollars have been spent in putting Gwen Boniface's OPP protocols in place to address native land claim occupation issues.  None of it worked at Caledonia.  The reason is because none of the protocols took into account criminal activities of natives against innocent residents and visitors in the areas adjacent to the occuppied site.

It is for all to see on the Ipperwash Inquiry website.  I objected to this remmission of our rights at the Inquiry.

I have written all the government officials over the last fifteen years about the mess at Ipperwash.  I have had media interviews, radio discussions, and meetings with the public.  None of this brought the media to tell the truth, or our Politicians to admit the path they were taking was unlawful and traumatic to the people of this Province and Country.

I consider the March for Freedom an awakening.  Canadians if properly informed will rise against two tier Justice.  Only when careers in Politics are ruined by us voting them out will anything change.  It can be done.

In the last two decades, our government has not listened to the people.  Change is in the wind and I can hardly wait for common sense,  integrity, and moral fortitude to return to our government institutions and our Justice system.

How quaint and small minded that Jamie West chose to try to kill the integrity of the messenger while totally ignoring the importance of the message itself.

To all those who attended the Rally, I thank you for the opportunity to stand with you.

Sincerely
Mary-Lou LaPratte Ipperwash Beach Ontario.
