Dear Mr. Shipley, Letter to my MP
It is ironic to say the least that Caledonia has not been discussed to date in the House of Commons. I feel McGinty's press release is totally redundant. The Federal Government has been at the helm of the Ipperwash dispute going into shortly our twelveth year, and fifteen years for the west beach landclaim. We have no resolution to anything yet. Is this what fast track means???
I have spent one quarter of my life locked into native land disputes. This is unconscionable. When will Ipperwash be resolved??
When will the laws of this land apply to everyone irregardless of race or where they live???
When will I and my neighbours be treated with respect instead of just being considered cash cows with no protection from aggression until you guys get your ducks in place or delay long enough for the next bunch to disappoint us yet again???
Both Ipperwash and Caledonia are being abused by every level of Government to satisfy what???
So far all we have seen is a downward spiral with both governments ignoring the very foundation of Democracy. Are we Canadian citizens or not???
Do we not deserve to be free of aggression on our own turf?
Do we not deserve the same degree of consideration as others in the same circumstances???
Tell me why I should believe I am living the good Canadian life???
We recently suffered 14 break and enters in one night in the same neighbourhood.
Would you feel warm, protected and cozy????
