Caledonia Resident
Feb. 17, 2007
Regarding the multiple requests for you to attend Caledonia as was your duty and responsibility to of your own volition.
Mr Dalton McGuinty... you should note as described per the Chambers
English Dictionary
Leadership: office of leader or conductor: ability to lead
Leader: one who leads
Lead: to show the way by going first: to guide by the hand: to take the principal part in (eg: to lead an orchestra): to convey (eg: to lead water to the fields): to guide (eg: this leads me to think: to live (eg: he leads and ideal life). - v.i. to be first: to be guide: to form a way (eg: this path leads to the pond).
Contrary to what you or your advisors believe...This has not been accomplished!
You sir have been derilict in this matter, you have refused to address the needs and requests of this community and it's council. You continue to avoid any responsibility for what has occurred here, you have allowed a process of appeal to be conducted without any defence, you have allowed the Ontario Provincial Police to operate outside of not only their mandate but the laws of this Country. You have engaged in idle threats of action and speech of that which you claim "is not acceptable" however you have amply demonstrated to all that you had no intention of upholding such rhetoric. You have claimed that "we should be patient" however such suggestions are coming from a coward who hides from his responsibilities and avoids his duties as a leader. You have been repeatedly requested by politicians, councillors, residents etc to come to Caledonia and witness first hand what has and is taking place here under YOUR WATCH. You were personally invited by a member of the community to attend and stay in their home which borders the occupation area known as the DCE, so that you too could experience that which we have lived with yet you refused. You have disparaged and downplayed the people of this community and that of Six Nations of the Grand River. You have displayed a cowardice in the execution of your sworn duties and a betrayal of not only this town which may be simply one legislative seat to you, but to the people and laws of this Province and this Country.
You sir have abandoned us and done so in a fashion that is plain for all to see, you shrink from responsibility and do so without honour or integrity. The failure of your leadership or rather lack thereof shall be felt and lived with for generations to come, you have allowed hope to be lost, you have allowed a town to be lost. Your abject failure and desertion has been completed, your presence here once requested by all is now no-longer welcome as it will simply insult and re-injure this town and it's citizens further.
I shall celebrate the demise of your party and your cowardice in the upcoming months as I would the arrival of Christmas Day, and then after that day I shall celebrate you no further.
