HELP!!! Can't find any sanity

Letter from Merlyn Kinrade to Sachem – printed in Sachem March 21 2007

Let me see now if there is some semblance of sanity lurking somewhere in the Town of Caledonia AKA Wimpville.

I'll try to bring the townspeople up to speed on a few of the more glaring incidents of insane situations – a police vehicle is attacked and damaged while the officers frantically radio for help – any arrests? – a hidden camera is found in a private home and monitered where? Duffys tavern – Tiny's gym – Wimpville cemetery. The Fleming Bors., with permission from the OPP try to replace a Canadian flag but oh oh, communication breakdown results in possible arrest (breach of peace) rears its ugly head. Another Caledonia resident is arrested trying to erect a Canadian flag, charged with several offences, escapes with a questionable fine. Is this justice?

I can't help but think of the fourteen year old girl on the Sixth Line who pleads for help for her and her neighbors – what a tragedy. Fantino's boys will help her I'm sure, if they get permission to respond. Barring that, the residents of Wimpville will be there, but don't hold your breath.

Jane Stewart and Barbara McDougal were frightened by a shouting match and some jostling – wouldn't want to see the mess in their britches if they lived on the Sixth Line or with Dave and Dana.

Now last but certainly no least, McHale and Vandermaas can't rent the Lions Hall in Wimpville because of intimidation tactics being used successfully.

Where's the white flag – HELP!!! Can't find any sanity.
