Petition is about law and order

Letter - The Regional

January 28, 2009

Recently I have been going to the neighbours asking them, if they feel comfortable, to sign the petition that is circulating in our town, regarding the two tier policing that is taking place. The response has been good, but one lady told me that she would love to sign, but was afraid for her job (teacher). A gentleman told me that he is in favour of Fantino because his hands are tied and it all started with Gwen Boniface. All the orders come from higher up. He also told me that I was doing the right thing.

For people of older generations who remember how Hitler started out by taking away guns from the country, need I ask what happened after that?

Remember Caledonia, this is your town and your country. They say it takes a whole town to raise a child, it also takes a whole town to rectify a wrong. Stand up and be counted.

The more I see and hear, the more I think that Ron Hewitt, Gary McHale, Merlyn Kinrade, Doug Fleming and many others, have got it right. It is not about the native land claims, it's about law and order. The natives can take their land claims to Queen's Park and Ottawa, but give us back our town with fair and equal policing for all. Do your bit, sign the petition and don't forget that 10,000 signatures can make a difference.
