October 21, 2009
I noted with some interest an article published in the Oct 17, 2009 issue of the National Post on the motley collection of self proclaimed "activists" whose dedicated aim is to extinguish the Olympic torch as the relay makes its way across Canada. These groups have been very upfront in expressing their determination to disrupt what should be a peaceful event.
It seems to me that there is a criminal code charge tailor made for these protesters and could be applied by the OPP the minute they set foot in Ontario. "Counselling Mischief not Committed".
Why should Gary McHale be the only person in Canada ever dragged through the courts for this "crime" given the unequivocal nature of the threats made to this event by these known "activists"?
